Distributor members of the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) re-elected nine directors and elected one new director to three-year terms on the IFDA board during an annual membership meeting held at the 2011 IFDA Partners Executive Forum.
“Through involvement on the IFDA board, we have the opportunity to really make a difference for our industry,” said Mac Sullivan, president and chief executive officer of Pate Dawson Company and IFDA chairman, who led the meeting. “Together, we can address some of the most pressing issues facing not only distribution, but also the industry at large.”
The nine individuals re-elected to three-year terms as directors beginning in 2011, include:
•William Barulich, CEO, BiRite Foodservice Distributors (Brisbane CA)
•Karen Bressler, president and CEO, AGAR Supply Company Inc (Taunton MA)
•Thomas Henning, president and CEO, Cash-Wa Distributing Co of Kearney Inc (Kearney NE)
•William McFall “Mac” Pearce, president and CEO–broadline, Performance Foodservice (Richmond VA)
•David Schreibman, executive vice-president, strategy, US Foodservice (Rosemont IL)
•Roger Toomey, president and CEO, UniPro Foodservice Inc (Atlanta GA)
•Terance Walsh, executive vice-president and chief operating officer, Maines Paper & Food Service Inc (Conklin NY)
•Thomas Zatina, president, McLane Foodservice Inc (Carrollton TX)
One new director was elected to a three-year term beginning in 2011:
•George Watson, president and CEO, FAB Inc (Alpharetta GA)
The IFDA board met while at the forum and discussed, among other things, the new IFDA Washington Insight & Advocacy Conference, regulatory priorities, and findings of a report by The Hale Group that projects the landscape in foodservice by the year 2020.
