The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) recognized the best marketing efforts supporting June Dairy Month with 30 Gold and 40 Silver Penguin Awards in 14 different retail categories. NFRA and its members brought the 2010 “Building Healthy Families” theme to consumers in-store for this eighth annual June Dairy Month promotion.

Marketing efforts included one notable winner: Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc in the Retail Corporate Chain or Division Over 50 Stores, which will be receiving the Amber Penguin for three consecutive Gold awards in the same category. As a three-time winner, the company is required to retire from the competition for one year before entering the category again.

Winning entries embodied the Golden Penguin qualifications of excellence, representing dedication, innovation, and success in promotion of refrigerated foods. Golden Penguin winners will have the opportunity to receive their award at the Grand Awards Banquet, set for October 19, 2010, during the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention in San Francisco CA.
