At the April 2011 meeting of the Oregon Trucking Association (OTA), Kool Pak’s Nicole Hollamon was named 2010 Safety Director of the Year.

Wade Palmer, Kool Pak’s chief financial officer, nominated Hollamon for the award and said, “Under Nicole’s direction, Kool Pak has continually improved its safety rating, processes, and procedures, from implementing eLogs across our fleet to negotiating tire maintenance contracts.”

Hollamon, who joined Kool Pak in 2008, is only the second woman to receive this distinction.

“Winning this award is definitely one of the highlights of my career. It feels great to know that Kool Pak supports my efforts in safety and to be recognized amongst my peers—a distinguished group of dedicated professionals,” she said.

Kool Pak also received the First Place Safety Award in the Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Common Carrier category.

“Being a safety leader in the LTL category is a distinction we would have had difficulty achieving without Nicole’s expertise,” said Katie Royce, Kool Pak’s Kent WA terminal manager.

Kool Pak is a refrigerated services provider offering transportation, distribution, warehousing, and logistics services to customers across the United States and Canada.
