J B Hunt picks PeopleNet for on-board technology

PeopleNet announced that it has been chosen by J B Hunt Transport Services Inc for its fleetwide EOBR (electronic on-board recorder) and on-board computing needs.

PeopleNet announced that it has been chosen by J B Hunt Transport Services Inc (NASDAQ:JBHT) for its fleetwide EOBR (electronic on-board recorder) and on-board computing needs.

Recognizing how advanced technology could support the company’s commitment to safety and customer service, the company made its decision after an evaluation of PeopleNet products and service.

Craig Harper, chief operating officer of J B Hunt, said, “PeopleNet demonstrated a strong understanding of our business. Not only is the company’s product roadmap closely aligned with our safety and service needs, but their responsiveness and flexibility are outstanding.”

PeopleNet BLU.2 onboard computers have been installed in more than 2,300 J B Hunt trucks to date. All new trucks purchased by the carrier are fully equipped for PeopleNet installation through factory pre-wiring and are activated before deployment to the J B Hunt network of services.
