Detroit Diesel Corp announced that in recognition of all of the hard-working truck drivers that keep the US economy rolling, it has designated August as “Detroit Diesel Driver Appreciation Month.”

Detroit Diesel Corp announced that in recognition of all of the hard-working truck drivers that keep the US economy rolling, it has designated August as “Detroit Diesel Driver Appreciation Month.”

During August, truck drivers and owners will have the opportunity to visit the Detroit Diesel manufacturing facility for a special presentation, lunch, and a behind-the-scenes plant tour. Guests will also receive official Detroit Diesel merchandise and an information packet.

Detroit Diesel’s facility manufactures the DD13, DD15, and DD16 family of engines. The site has received recognition for its environmentally friendly production processes, most recently earning the 2011 Michigan Green Leader Award from the Detroit Free Press.
