Walmart Transportation has recognized several of its trucking and transportation partners as Carriers of the Year.

Walmart Transportation has recognized several of its trucking and transportation partners as Carriers of the Year. The retailer awards the designation each year to companies that provide logistical support to its stores, Sam’s Club locations, and distribution facilities.

“We are fortunate to hold strong partnerships with many exceptional carriers at Walmart,” said Ken Braunbach, senior director of transportation for Walmart. “A number of considerations were made when determining the award recipients, but ultimately each of them demonstrated a dedication to customer service, operational excellence, and an ability to offer creative supply chain solutions that set them apart from their peers.”

Among the honorees was C R England, a Salt Lake City UT-based global transportation provider, which was recognized as the 2012 Walmart Temperature Controlled Platinum Carrier of the Year. C R England previously received the 2011 Walmart Grocery Carrier of the Year.

David Kramer, executive vice-president, corporate sales and marketing for CR England, said, “At C R England we strive to provide our customers with nothing but exceptional transportation services. We are very pleased to be a Walmart Carrier of the Year Award recipient for the second consecutive year.”
