Pegasus TransTech has launched new TRANSFLO Express self-service scan station kiosks in selected Pilot Travel Center locations. The new service will provide drivers an additional option for scanning their delivery documents on the road. Pegasus TransTech also announced that Pilot Travel Centers has signed a 10-year extension to its exclusive truckstop scanning agreement with Pegasus TransTech.
Adding the new kiosk scanning service will allow drivers the flexibility of two different scanning options: 1) cashier-assisted scanning at the fuel desk, or 2) self-service scanning using the kiosk station to perform their own scanning without the assistance of a cashier.
“Most drivers are fully capable of scanning and transmitting their own documents. Many have requested that option to get their scan work done at their own pace and get back on the road,” said Bob Helms, chairman and chief executive officer of Pegasus TransTech. “The TRANSFLO Express Kiosk provides that option.”
Pegasus TransTech has offered cashier-assisted TRANSFLO Express truck stop scanning since July 2002. This service is currently offered at all Pilot locations nationwide as well as hundreds of other truckstops.
With TRANSFLO Express cashier-assisted services, drivers hand their trip documents to a trained cashier for scanning.
Both services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Just like the standard TRANSFLO Express services, the kiosk service also transmits the delivery documents electronically to the carrier for immediate access to billing and payroll documents, allowing fleets and drivers to get paid faster.
Pilot Travel Centers operates travel centers in 41 states with more than 300 retail Interstate properties. The company is headquartered in Knoxville TN and has 13,000 employees.
