Frozen seafood supplier High Liner Foods Inc has been awarded a Red Hat Supplier Achievement Award by Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc and ARCOP Inc, the national supply chain cooperative for Arby’s, for supporting the brand’s Lenten promotions of its fish sandwich.
The Red Hat Supplier Achievement Awards spotlight suppliers that have provided superior levels of service and support to the Arby’s system. Along with seven other suppliers, High Liner Foods was honored during the 2012 Arby’s Worldwide Franchise Convention in Las Vegas NV recently.
“With demand for delicious seafood menu items being so high during the Lenten season, it’s critical that we have a consistent supply,” said David Cox, president of ARCOP. “High Liner Foods added numerous overtime production shifts to help us out. By rearranging shipping, expediting raw materials, and sourcing a new breading system to keep restaurants in supply of the fish, High Liner made this a hugely successful promotion.”
“We have a longstanding relationship with Arby’s, and we’re proud to partner with such a leading quick-service restaurant brand,” said Steve Prusank, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for High Liner Foods.
High Liner Foods branded products are sold throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico under the High Liner, Fisher Boy, Mirabel, Sea Cuisine, and Royal Sea labels, and are available in most grocery and club stores. The company also sells its products under the High Liner, FPI, Mirabel, Viking, Icelandic Seafood, Samband of Iceland, Seastar, and Seaside brands to restaurants and institutions, and is a major supplier of private-label seafood products to North American food retailers and foodservice distributors.
