Thanks to high marks from company employees, the Cincinnati Business Courier announced that Total Quality Logistics (TQL) is the Best Places to Work winner for the 1,000-plus employee category. The competition included responses by more than 100 Cincinnati OH-area public, private, and non-profit organizations.
“We invest in people and technology,” said Kerry Byrne, executive vice-president at TQL. “During the course of our growth from two to more than 1,600 employees, we have paid particular attention to what matters to our people. What makes us excited about this kind of award is that the voting is based on feedback from them. We can’t ask for a better barometer of progress than that.”
The competition was held by market research firm Quantum Workplace in partnership with the Courier. Quantum Workplace has performed Best Places to Work employee surveys for thousands of companies in more than 40 US cities. Best Places to Work is judged solely upon quantitative measurement of employee input.
TQL has also been named a “Top Workplace,” a “Healthiest Employer” finalist, and honored in the Courier’s “Fast 55” list of greater Cincinnati’s fastest-growing private companies.
Cincinnati-based TQL is the nation’s third-largest freight brokerage firm with more than 1,600 employees in eight states: Ohio, Illinois, Colorado, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Indiana, and Kentucky.
