US Foodservice has received top honors as an industry leader in foodservice distribution to healthcare providers from VHA Inc, a national network of not-for-profit healthcare organizations.

During VHA’s recent Supplier Summit in Austin TX, US Foodservice was recognized as the VHA Non-Acute Distributor of the Year and Business Partner of the Year—the only company to receive double honors at this healthcare industry event.

US Foodservice Health Care Group professionals work with more than 3,000 acute care facilities and more than 6,000 long-term care customers across the nation, providing operational assessments of their foodservice operations as well as 24/7 access to more than 40,000 products.

Amy Anthony, senior vice-president of supply chain services, said, “US Foodservice has been extremely valuable in providing exceptional service to our non-acute members. VHA’s Non-Acute team rated US Foodservice as a top performer in teamwork, relationships, and satisfaction that contributed to VHA’s increased sales and member usage over the past year.”

“We are proud to receive this recognition from a great healthcare company like VHA,” said Stuart Schuette, chief operating officer, US Foodservice. “We know that providing value-added service, a dedication to the highest standards of food safety, and quality products is critical to our healthcare customers. We are committed to this important sector of our industry.”

Irving TX-based VHA, through its 16 regional offices, serves more than 1,400 hospitals and more than 28,000 non-acute care providers nationwide.
