A de F Ltd, a privately held entrepreneurial company based in St Paul MN, has announced a partnership with C R England, the Salt Lake City UT-based transportation company and the world’s largest temperature-controlled carrier. This partnership will result in an annual fuel savings of more than 100,000 gallons of diesel fuel.

C R England has purchased enough Deflecktor Aero wheel covers to outfit 1,000 of its company-owned trucks. The aerodynamic wheel covers improve the fuel efficiency of tractors and trailers.

“We have tested the fuel efficiency benefits of Deflecktor wheel covers. Based on the results, we expect a quick payback with minimal capital outlay,” said Corey England, executive vice-president of operations support forC R England.

“I knew that smoothing wheel contours with a simple lightweight device would reduce the overall coefficient of drag of a tractor in motion and thereby increase energy efficiency,” said Jon Fleck, inventor and owner of A de F Ltd. “The Deflecktor helps environmentally conscious truckload carriers like C R England reduce fuel consumption and operate more efficiently.”

The Deflecktor’s design uses fabric and results in complete installation in seconds and instantaneous access for inspection. This wheel cover is covered by multiple patents that are issued and pending worldwide.

Founded in 1920, C R England offers national, Mexico, and regional truckload service in addition to dedicated and intermodal services.
