Apex acquires Timberline Freight Services

Logistics provider Apex Freight Services has announced the acquisition of Colorado-based Timberline Freight Services, a company specializing in full and less-than-truckload transportation of temperature-protected goods.
With this acquisition, Apex dramatically increases its cold-shipping expertise and gains access to the multibillion-dollar frozen food transportation industry. Apex will retain Timberline’s leadership while centralizing operations in its Lafayette LA headquarters. Apex is planning for further growth in the next year, both organically and through additional acquisitions.
Apex was named the fastest-growing locally in 2012 and 860th overall in the Inc Magazine 500|5000 list.
