Sygic has released the first navigation application for Amazon’s new Fire Phone. Innovator of the first navigation application for the iPhone back in 2009, Sygic says it created the first real 3D navigation app, as well as the first navigation app for the taxi industry. It also says it is the only navigation app to take full advantage of the Fire Phone’s Dynamic Perspective feature by providing stunning 3D effects. Sygic Navigation for Fire Phone will also use the Hero Widget.
This move follows Sygic’s strategy to navigate all drivers on the road and let them explore any place with confidence, regardless of which mobile operating system they prefer. The firm achieves this by providing offline GPS navigation with just the convenience of a smart phone, letting drivers navigate worldwide without requiring a data connection. As a downloaded multi-platform navigation application, Sygic expects to reach more than 100 million drivers by 2015.
Sygic Navigation Application for Fire Phone provides a navigation app experience with TomTom map data and features such as 3D maps, landmarks, lane assistant, head-up display (HUD), junction views, and speed cameras. It also employs the Fire Phone’s Dynamic Perspective feature.
The application is available with a seven-day free trial of premium navigation through the Amazon Store.
