Freida’s Inc adopts ReposiTrak to monitor food safety-related risk

Frieda’s Inc, marketer and distributor of more than 600 varieties of fruits, vegetables, and gourmet items to supermarkets, foodservice, and wholesalers across North America, has chosen ReposiTrak to manage its food safety-related risk.
“We were looking for a comprehensive, yet affordable automated compliance management solution to replace our current system,” said Jackie Caplan Wiggins, vice-president and chief operating officer, Frieda’s. “Of the various systems we evaluated, the ReposiTrak Solution was not only easiest to use (both for Frieda’s and our more than 400 active suppliers), but its features also will help us remain in compliance with rapidly evolving regulations in the 2011 Food Safety Modernization Act.”
Powered by Park City Group’s technology, the ReposiTrak platform helps manage regulatory, financial, and brand risk associated with food safety in the global food supply chain.
The platform consists of two systems. The Compliance Management system not only receives, stores, and shares documentation, but also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing or expired documents. The Track and Trace system quickly identifies the supply chain path taken by a product in case of a product recall. It can reduce risk in the supply chain by identifying backward-chaining sources and forward-chaining recipients of products in near real time.
ReposiTrak is a collaboration between Leavitt Partners and Park City Group. It provides food retailers and suppliers with a system to help protect their brands and remain in compliance with rapidly evolving regulations in the Food Safety Modernization Act.
