Nominations are open for next LEAD ATA class

March 11, 2015
American Trucking Associations announced it is seeking nominations for the third class of its LEAD ATA leadership development program.
American Trucking Associations announced it is seeking nominations for the third class of its LEAD ATA leadership development program. “Since it was created two years ago, LEAD ATA has brought dozens of future trucking industry and ATA leaders to Washington and other important industry events to learn about what ATA does and how it advocates on behalf of trucking,” said Bill Graves, ATA president and chief executive officer. “The program is cultivating the next generation of leaders, not just for our association but our industry.”

“Executives like me aren’t getting any younger,” said Dave Manning, ATA vice-chairman and president of TCW, Nashville TN. “It is incumbent upon us to do what we can to help nurture future leaders who, frankly, will replace us as the faces of this great industry.” LEAD ATA, launched in 2013, sponsored by PeopleNet, provides exclusive educational opportunities designed to highlight how the regulatory and legislative process affects the trucking industry and the important role ATA plays in shaping both. It also demonstrates the tools available to industry executives through ATA. Each year, a new class will be accepted into LEAD ATA to cultivate the federation’s future ATA leaders. To nominate a candidate, or to learn more about LEAD ATA, go to www.trucking.org/Lead_ATA.aspx.
