TranSolutions Inc has released a software system dedicated to helping carriers manage their cargo claims.

The company first came out with MyEZClaim, a software system designed to help shippers and 3PLs manage freight claims and analyze trends to prevent future damage.

Now TranSolutions has developed a similar software system for carriers to manage claims being filed against them. CarrierClaim can be integrated with the company’s TMS, accounting software, or other internal systems, so there’s no need to uproot current systems in order to use the software.

Problems with spreadsheets can be overcome by CarrierClaim. With it, supporting documentation, photos, and follow-up notes can be stored with the claim record—in one location—rather than being dispersed across multiple paper or digital folders. Claims managers can even email from within the system. This allows email records to be stored within the claim file, eliminating time spent searching through email records. CarrierClaim is a cloud-based database, which enables access from anywhere. It also allows multiple users to work on the file simultaneously.

CarrierClaim comes with a specially designed capability: claim importing. When a carrier receives a claim from a client that uses MyEZClaim, he’ll be able to import the claim directly into the CarrierClaim system with no need for data entry.

While carriers and claimants are typically on opposing sides, both sides benefit from efforts in claim prevention. Both CarrierClaim and MyEZClaim come equipped with robust reporting and analytics tools to enable claims managers to uncover root causes of loss and damage, such as insufficient packaging or improper handling methods by a particular driver or warehouse location. CarrierClaim includes more than 80 automatically generated reports. Custom reports can be generated with 150 metrics, such as region, claimant, or claim reasons.
