The California Association of Flower Growers and Shippers, or CalFlowers, has added American Airlines Cargo and Hawaiian Airlines Cargo to its list of transportation partners.

These providers offer shipping rates to CalFlowers members that allow them to be competitive in national and global flower markets.

With a mission to get flowers from the field to consumers, CalFlowers provides members with a number of transportation services partners to maximize flower freshness and speed to wholesale and retail markets. Air Canada, Alaska Air Cargo, Delta Airlines Cargo, FedEx, OnTrac, Southwest Cargo, and United Airlines Cargo also participate in the program, offering members a variety of shipping options inside and outside of California.

CalFlowers continues to expand its membership. It recently added Bergerons Flowers; Dahlia Inc; Delaflor Latin America; Gourmet Specialties; Heart of Florida Greenhouses; Hortus Inc; Plazoleta Bazzani SAS; Rainbow Flower Farm; and Shaw Lake Farms. A total of 23 members have been added in this membership year. In addition to access to negotiated shipping rates, members benefit from a number of other services including education, advocacy, and marketing programs.

As part of its marketing services, CalFlowers’ transportation partners—along with growers, wholesalers, and business services providers—will participate in the CalFlowers pavilion at the World Floral Expo. This event will be held March 9-11, 2016, at the Los Angeles (CA) Convention Center.
