Janam adds XM70 to mobile computer line

Janam Technologies LLC has introduced the newest addition to its XM series of rugged mobile computers. The XM70 mobile computer offers the same form factor and rugged design of Janam’s flagship XM66, yet with more power.

The XM70 supports both Android and Microsoft Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 operating systems on the same device. Backward compatibility with XM66 accessories allows users to reuse existing peripherals and batteries while cost-effectively upgrading to the latest mobile computing platform.

Janam’s new mobile computer offers advanced 1D and 2D barcode scanning with Zebra’s SE4500 scan engine. With superior scanning speed and outstanding motion tolerance, the XM70 improves productivity across an array of industries including hospitality, healthcare, transportation, and logistics.

With an ARM Cortex-A8 processor and double data rate (DDR) memory, the XM70 delivers impressive horsepower to the point of activity. Weighing less than 10 ounces, it is not only designed to fit in the palm of one’s hand, but also built to survive all-day use in challenging environments. The XM70 can withstand 4-foot (1.2-meter) drops onto concrete on all sides across a full spectrum of temperatures and is sealed to IP54 standards against dust and water. Removable 2400mAh and 4000mAh Li-ion batteries ensure uninterrupted operation throughout the workday.
