Manitoulin Transport has donated a total of $100,000 to Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) with 2016’s annual holiday gift. The funds will be used to help NCC deliver on its mandate to conserve and protect natural habitats in Canada of ecological significance.
“We thank Manitoulin Transport for the generous donation and for their continued and significant support over many years,” said John Grant, program director, midwestern Ontario, NCC. “During the time that Manitoulin Transport first got involved with NCC, the importance of conservation was not nearly as well understood as it is today. Manitoulin Transport has shown great leadership, not just within their own industry but among companies in general, by getting involved and staying involved with NCC and our important work. It is very gratifying to have the support of a company of such caliber as Manitoulin Transport, and we look forward to many more years of partnership with them.”
The NCC is Canada’s leading not-for-profit private land conservation organization, working to protect the most important natural areas and plants and animals they sustain. Since 1962, it has helped to protect 2.8 million acres across Canada.
