DAT Solutions announced that Getloaded, a load board for smaller freight brokers and carriers, will be integrated into the DAT network of load boards to create a larger and more diverse electronic marketplace for spot truckload freight.

The combination joins the load boards into a single premier network for refrigerated, van, flatbed, and specialty freight and capacity. Getloaded and DAT—which includes DAT Power, DAT Express, DAT TruckersEdge, and OOIDA’s MembersEdge—are both owned by the same company, and have been operating with independent databases operated by DAT.

Getloaded’s carrier customers will have access to four times as many loads per day, while broker customers will be able to find carrier partners by searching the more than 17 million available trucks posted annually to the DAT network.

“On the spot market, carriers want to choose from as much freight as possible, and brokers want to connect with as many quality trucks that can deliver freight on a lane,” said Don Thornton, Senior Vice-president at DAT. “In this case, bigger really is better.”

DAT will migrate DAT and Getloaded customers to the combined database by year-end 2016.

Brokers, carriers, and shippers posted more than 100 million loads and trucks on DAT and Getloaded load boards in 2015. More than 59 million loads were posted on DAT load boards first or nowhere else.
