W N Morehouse Truck Line Inc, based in Omaha NE, has announced an improvement to its pay package for drivers. All drivers’ pay per mile will be increased to the applicable new rate in proportion with their service time at Morehouse.

Effective December 1, 2017, Morehouse will increase its starting pay for company drivers to 42¢ per mile and top out at 49¢ per mile for drivers who have served 10-plus years with the company. Experienced, top-performing drivers could earn more than $60,000 in their first year with this new pay package.

“This new pay package will be great for our existing drivers and make the decision to start working with us easier for potential new hires,” said Brad Morehouse, vice-president. “We are thankful for the dedication and loyalty of our drivers throughout the years. We have survived the economic difficulties of the past few years and could not have done so without the drivers who stayed with us. We are putting this new pay scale in place to show how much we value the drivers who have worked with us over the long term and also to attract new hires who are looking for a company they can retire from.”

A fourth-generation, family-owned business, Morehouse is celebrating 85 years of service in 2017. The transportation company hauls primarily refrigerated products throughout the Midwest United States. Started by William Newel Morehouse in 1932 as a one-man operation, Morehouse has grown to operate more than 100 trucks and 170 trailers.

Management at Morehouse works with drivers, mechanics, and office employees to provide a clean, friendly, and comfortable workplace. The new pay scale, coupled with the company’s purchase of 25 new Kenworth trucks and use of cutting-edge technology, make it an ideal candidate for a driver looking for a position.

Drivers aged 23 and older with two years of verifiable experience and a clean motor vehicle record who are interested in a career can visit www.MorehouseTruckLine.com or call 800-228-9378 ext 2233 for more information.
