Learn about Werner Enterprises being designated as a 2019 Military Friendly Silver Employer.

Transportation and logistics company Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ: WERN) has announced its designation as a 2019 Military Friendly Silver Employer, marking the fourth consecutive year the firm has received the Military Friendly Employer designation.

The list includes 226 Military Friendly Employers that have exceeded the standard for commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefit for the military and veteran community.

“There are many parallels between serving our country in the armed forces and serving our country as a Werner professional driver or associate,” said Derek Leathers, president and chief executive officer. “Passion, dedication and adaptability are hallmarks of America’s military service members and veterans and traits that we value at Werner.”

The annual Military Friendly Employers list is based on extensive research using public data sources for more than 8,800 employers nationwide and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly Employers survey from participating institutions.

This list includes Top 10, Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in various categories. The Silver designation was awarded to 31 companies that scored within 20% of the tenth ranking employer in their category. The Gold designation was awarded to 16 companies that scored within 10% of the tenth ranking employer in their category. The 2019 Military Friendly Employers list will be published in the December issue of G I Jobs magazine.

Werner maintains its global headquarters in Omaha NE and has offices in the United States, Canada, Mexico and China. For further information, see www.werner.com.
