project44, which provides advanced visibility for shippers and logistics service providers, recently added a new truckload tendering capability to its Advanced Visibility Platform it says helps streamline and automate the manual shipping process.
The company said the new offering eliminates freight system friction and data silos, removing the need for users to leave their Transportation Management System (TMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to secure quotes.
“This represents the next wave of automation capabilities for project44,” said Mike Reed, project44’s chief strategy officer.
project44 claims it now offers the most comprehensive suite of modern over-the-road solutions, including freight procurement, real-time tracking and automated settlement integrations, enabling its customer base to increase operational efficiencies, reduce costs and deliver an “Amazon-like” experience to their customers.
The new tendering capability enables project44 customers to automatically request truckload shipment quotes from their TMS, ERP or other systems. After viewing quotes, they can tender a shipment without needing to log into a separate interface. Data on the shipment also can be directly integrated into the carrier’s systems after their quote is accepted, the company maintained.
