Penske Logistics recently crowned Somerset, New Jersey-based Roadtex its top Refrigerated Provider during a ceremony celebrating the 2024 Freight Management Carrier award recipients.
Roadtex, an Echo Global Logistics company, specializes in the LTL and refrigerated transportation and warehousing of temperature-sensitive products. The company, founded in 1992 by Bob Kelly and Bruno Ciacciarelli, boasts 32 food-grade terminals and more than 900 employees.
Penske’s annual carrier awards are based on an enterprise scorecard combined with customer, operations, and sourcing feedback, Penske said. The 14 honorees were chosen from among Penske’s base of trucking carriers within its freight management operations.
“We have been navigating a challenging freight environment on behalf of our customer base, and thankfully these award winners have been the best-of-the-best in helping us weather the storm,” Tracy Urbanski, Penske Logistics senior vice president of operations for freight management, said in a news release. “A hearty congratulations go out to our worthy recipients.”
