Thermo King recently presented its first-ever Community Impact Award to three dealerships in the Americas for community involvement, volunteerism, and local leadership. The company, which is the transport refrigeration brand of Trane Technologies and creator of the We Move Food program, recognized Thermo King Salinas, Thermo King of the Southeast, and Videfrigo during its annual dealer principal meeting.
More than 50 nominations were submitted for the award, highlighting hundreds of volunteer hours, broad community partnerships, and thousands of dollars in charitable contributions.
Community Impact Award winners:
- Videfrigo (Brazil): Supported schools, daycare centers, and cancer treatment organizations, with a focus on youth development and community well-being.
- Thermo King of the Southeast (U.S.): Logged more than 160 volunteer hours and supported food banks, veterans, youth programs, and law enforcement organizations.
- Thermo King Salinas (U.S.): Continued a long-standing Thanksgiving food donation program dating back to 1986, supporting meals for up to 5,000 people annually.
“More than 50 nominations were submitted for our first-ever Thermo King Community Impact Award, a testament to the amazing work being done to uplift our local communities through volunteerism and donations,” Adam Wittwer, president of Thermo King Americas, stated. “Among our top eight submissions from dealers, there were nearly 240 hours volunteered, 40-plus organizations served, and monetary donations ranging between $5,000 and more than $20,000—all making better happen.”
