Sunswap recently received a second order from James Hall & Co. for its Endurance electric transport refrigeration units to support refrigerated distribution operations across the North of England. The company, which develops electric transport refrigeration systems, will increase the wholesaler’s Endurance fleet to eight units operating across ambient, chilled, and frozen deliveries.
James Hall & Co. first deployed the Endurance units across its double-deck trailer fleet in the summer of 2025. The repeat order follows continued use in daily commercial operations on multi-drop routes.
The Endurance units operate across three temperature zones simultaneously on double-deck trailers while producing zero direct emissions. The systems are charged through a three-phase connection, and integrated trailer-top solar technology helps reduce grid power demand while extending operating range.
The refrigeration units support deliveries from the company’s SPAR Distribution Centre in Preston on routes totaling about 62,000 miles annually. Sunswap’s software platform provides fleet visibility into temperature, utilization, and asset performance, while the company’s service team monitors system performance to identify maintenance needs before operational disruptions occur.
