Using proprietary Eaton diesel electric technology, the next generation in economical, ecological refrigeration transportation is available in a hybrid vehicle from Hercules Mfg.

Utilizing advances in chassis hybrid technology, refrigeration technology, and electronic controls, Hercules provides a new cold plate system that can run the compressor over the road and regenerate cold plates during a work day.

Hercules’ hybrid vehicle is melding the reliability and low maintenance cost of its cold plate refrigeration systems with the green hybrid technology of the future.

Call 800-633-3031 to reserve a test drive April 7 or 8 on the Eaton Test Track in Marshall MI.

Features of the Hercules Coldplate Hybrid System include:

    •Zero carbon footprint—100% electric system

•Savings of up to $9,000 annually in fuel and maintenance, compared with a self-contained mechanical refrigeration system

•Annual reduction of 43,000 lbs of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere, versus a self-contained mechanical refrigeration system

•10-million-plus miles of reliability on Eaton Hybrid Drive

•First use of 208-volt exportable power with a cold plate refrigeration system

•Continuous refreezing of the coldplate system

    •Automatic sequential defrost system available

    •Over-the-road heat available

    •Capability of powering multi-compressor designs

    •Single- and dual-temp systems available

•Temperature ranges from deep frozen to chilled

•Weight savings over traditional coldplate designs

    •Back-up refrigeration reliability

    •Very low-maintenance refrigeration system

•Eliminates complexity of onboard generators and/or inverters

•Seamless transition from hybrid power system to shore power mode
