Rub-through damage, pinhole leaks, and cross-threaded joints in refrigerated unit tubing are no problem for the new Line Splice from AirSept. Damaged lines can be repaired without removing the entire line.

With Line Splice, technicians can repair the damaged section of the line, offer the customer a lower cost, and make as much—if not more—profit as from selling a new line. The shop saves the line cost, avoids labor time of complete repair and restoration, and gets the repair done quickly.

Line Splice works on steel or aluminum lines, including air-conditioning, transmission, heater, and power steering lines.

A new sealing sleeve is made of dynamic HNBR material that resists vehicle fluids. The sleeve is up to eight times wider than a standard O-ring. It seals against irregular tubing surfaces, helping to prevent leak “travel” that can defeat narrow O-ring seals.

The wider sleeve also helps resist the vibration that creates leaks. A slotted tension ring coupled with a tapered nut guarantees a tight grip on the tubing.

Line Splice works with a standard open-end wrench, so no crimping tools are required. It fits 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", and 5/8" tubing sizes. Line Splice can connect two lines of different inner diameters. It is ideal for vehicles with a smaller line connecting a rear evaporator to the air-conditioning system. The small footprint (less than 2.5") fits in tight spaces .
