CARB workshops to discuss emissions rule

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) staff plans a series of workshops to discuss a proposed regulation to reduce emissions from existing diesel-fueled trucks, buses, and other vehicles operating in California.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) staff plans a series of workshops to discuss a proposed regulation to reduce emissions from existing diesel-fueled trucks, buses, and other vehicles operating in California. As proposed, the regulation would apply to nearly all in-use on-road heavy-duty diesel vehicles regardless of where the vehicle is registered.

This will be the last series of workshops before CARB will consider the proposed regulation October 23, 2008. The public is invited to comment at the workshops.

Day and evening workshops are planned. Daytime workshops will be held in San Diego, El Monte, Redding, San Jose, Sacramento, and Fresno. The workshop in Sacramento will also be webcast. Workshops will also be held in the evening in El Centro, Redding, San Jose, Riverside, and Arvin.
