Crown Equipment Corporation has introduced the WP 3000 Series walkie pallet truck. It provides maneuverability and control vital for applications where pallet trucks must maneuver in tight spaces, withstand impacts, deliver power on demand, and give operators controlled performance.
The WP 3000 incorporates proven technology such as AC traction and e-GEN braking. Brushless AC motor technology is designed to provide responsive acceleration, smooth direction changes, and consistent performance throughout the battery discharge cycle. Crown’s e-GEN system provides smooth, consistent full-motor braking and, because braking occurs in the motor, energy is returned to the battery for further efficiency. Both systems improve uptime by reducing routine maintenance and adjustments associated with motor brushes and friction brakes.
A 30% improvement in grade clearance at the fork heel reduces wear on the truck’s undercarriage, which translates into extended truck, drive tire, and fork life. Operators also benefit from smoother operation due to less frequent contact. The riser axle is positioned at the highest possible point on the forks, eliminating frequent repairs from constant contact with dock boards, pallets, and uneven floors. The smooth, rounded fork tip design simplifies pallet entry, and tips are boxed in to add strength to the heavy-duty forks.
This pallet truck includes Crown’s exclusive X10 Control Handle, which employs advanced ergonomics for less operator fatigue and more efficient work. The raise and lower buttons are designed to provide tactile feedback and are positioned for blending lift/lower and traction regardless of travel direction. When working in tight spaces, the brake override mode enables operators to position the handle in the near vertical position while engaging traction at creep speed for fine-tuned load positioning. The cast-aluminum control handle with structural webbing is designed to withstand routine impacts encountered in extremely tight spaces.
