CARB revises emissions compliance assistance data
The California Air Resources Board Board (CARB) has revised the compliance assistance materials for its Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) In-Use Performance Standards regulations.
These materials include, "How Do I Comply?" and "Frequently Asked Questions and Guidelines for Compliance with the TRU ATCM." Revised compliance assistance materials can be accessed at www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/tru.htm.
CARB also has completed the TRU Identification Number (IDN) Application Forms. An IDN is required by the ATCM. Download the form at www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/tru.htm. IDN Application Forms will not be accepted prior to January 6, 2009. For more information on the IDN application and registration process, visit www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/tru/documents/advisory_08_06_r1.pdf.
The board is soliciting ideas for its Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Annual Research Plan. Successful contributions will become the basis for interagency agreements or competitive proposal solicitations next summer or autumn. General areas of research include: Emissions, Transport, and Transformation; Technology Advancement and Pollution Prevention; Agriculture; Health and Exposure; and Global Climate Change.
