Making its 25th anniversary year as a Carrier Transicold dealer even more commemorative, DeCleene Truck Repair and Refrigeration of De Pere WI was named Carrier's 2008 North America Dealer of the Year. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Corporation, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Reefer Services of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was named Latin America Dealer of the Year. In total, 27 dealerships and three individuals from Carrier's North America and Latin America dealer networks were recognized for strong sales and service performance, making significant investments in facilities, and achieving business objectives.

A family-owned operation, DeCleene was founded in 1969 as a trucking company and switched to an all-service operation in 1980. DeCleene became a Carrier Transicold dealer in 1984 and previously was named Dealer of the Year in 2002. Operated by Mike DeCleene as president, and his brother Craig as vice president, DeCleene has other Wisconsin operations in DeForest and Milwaukee, and a mobile unit based in Wausau. DeCleene also received Carrier NextLevel 2 Perfect Score awards for its De Pere and DeForest operations.

Also celebrating an anniversary this year, Reefer Services was founded in 1999 as a Carrier-authorized marine container refrigeration service center and later expanded as a Carrier Transicold truck and trailer refrigeration dealer serving the Dominican Republic. Led by principals Guillermo Iglesias and David Elias, Reefer Services also received NextLevel 2 Perfect Score and Quota-Buster awards.

Carrier's NextLevel 2 program uses performance criteria to challenge dealers each year. Carrier provided a total of 37 achievement awards for 2008 dealer performance. Individual recognition included Dealer Sales Manager of the Year, Hugh Giles of Carrier-Transicold South, Lake City GA; Dealer Service Manager of the Year, Danny Boes of Midlands Carrier Transicold, Omaha NE; and Dealer Parts Manager of the Year, Mark Allen of Gateway Industrial Power, Justice IL.
