Klinge Corporation will be launching its new, improved Dual Refrigerated Container with Integral Generator Set at Intermodal Europe, which is set for November 27-29, 2012. Seeking to build upon the safety features of its Dual Refrigerated Containers, Klinge is implementing several modifications to the design.

A leading event for the container transport and logistics industry, Intermodal Europe will be held at the RAI in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The event will bring together industry professionals from around the world to discover new market opportunities, network with peers, and see product launches from top companies in the industry.

Klinge’s Dual Refrigeration System, Model NMR-262, has two full-capacity reefer units with automatic switchover. The enhanced system will feature two independent motor housings (rather than the current dual-wound motor) as well as additional security measures for locking out unauthorized users and preventing access to the control box without the necessary tools. New, higher-efficiency evaporator and condenser coils will be used as well as an option for remote monitoring of the equipment via satellite, GSM, or a direct cable link to the control box.

“Over the years, our customers and potential customers have asked for certain features in the system. We have always done our best to accommodate these changes, but the new unit includes even more of these options,” said Jason Flynn, Klinge sales manager.

The Dual Refrigeration System will feature new ATEX, Zone 1-rated evaporator motors for increased safety in the cargo area. It will have an option for increased heating capacity.

The Dual Refrigerated Container will be showcased at spot 10 in the RAI’s Container Park. The NRM-262 Dual Refrigeration System will be on display with its integral generator set that powers the refrigeration system during truck transport or whenever else shorepower is not available.
