Proventia has received California Air Resources Board (CARB) approval for the Proventia FTF (flow-through filter), which fits many models of the Thermo King straight truck (bobtail) Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs) including the MDII, KDII, and TDII.
The Proventia FTF is a low-cost method for Thermo King bobtail TRU owners to comply with the CARB Low-Emission Transport Refrigeration Unit (LETRU) In–Use Performance Standard for 2002 and older TRUs.
The Proventia FTF and FTF Bobtail are passive flow-through filters that use engine exhaust temperature to regenerate the filter and are CARB-verified to low-emission standards for use with Thermo King model TRUs.
The Rypos DPF/LETRU active diesel particulate filter uses an electrically conductive, sintered metal fiber medium and electrical power from the TRU to regenerate the filter when needed. It is microprocessor-controlled with a backpressure control system, an electrical control circuit, and a backpressure warning indicator. Both systems reduce harmful particulate matter emissions around trucking facilities.
Rypos will be the exclusive North American distributor for the Proventia bobtail FTF passive filter system. The firm is already the exclusive North American distributor for the Proventia FTF system that fits Thermo King trailer TRU models such as the SB, Whisper, SuperII, and Sentry.
