Cliplight Manufacturing has introduced the Quick 7-Step, a three- to five-minute installation procedure for applying Super Seal vacuum-packed leak refrigeration sealants to all air-conditioning/refrigeration (AC/R) systems including R-410A.

Developed from contractor focus group feedback and later confirmed as safe by Cliplight laboratory research, the Quick 7-Step is a more user-friendly and streamlined step-by-step guide for faster Super Seal installation. The Quick 7-Step procedure is depicted on a card insert and will eventually appear on the can label in packages of Super Seal Classic and Total as well as Cliplight's Dry-R drying agent and Flash dye. The firm’s revised, but more detailed, instructions will remain in each package in English, French, and Spanish.

The Quick 7-Step procedure for R-410A systems offers advantages over hydrocarbon propellant-based sealant cans, which can’t be applied to R-410A systems without pump-down or labor-intensive evacuating, recovering, and recharging the entire system. Super Seal’s patented vacuum-packed can design meets ARI-700 purity standards because it uses the system's refrigerant to charge the can and inject sealant. Additionally, the patented hose orifice, which regulates sealant flow and prevents liquid slugging during injection, is included with every purchase.

This procedure is also part of Cliplight’s product information services featuring online Quick 7-Step video demonstrations at www.cliplight.com/hvacr, YouTube, and Facebook. The company has added Jesse Homenuik, a certified AC/R service technician who troubleshoots leak problems and answers sealant application questions. Contact him on weekdays from 8:30 am to 5 pm Eastern time via a hotline at 1-866-548-3644 or e-mail at [email protected].
