Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) and Snider Tire announce the opening of a new retreading plant in Houston TX. The new plant will supply Snider’s four commercial locations in Texas: Beaumont, Conroe, Dallas/Grand Prairie, and Houston.

“We have seen an increase in demand from trucking fleets for emergency roadside service and MRT tire products,” said John Snider, founder and president of Snider Tire. “This new facility will ensure that we can meet the demand with additional production, as well as timely retread delivery to our commercial locations in Texas.”

The new tire pressing plant will be within 240 miles of the farthest of Snider’s Texas commercial locations, cutting their delivery time by more than 20%.

The addition of the Houston plant brings the total number of MRT plants in the United States to 80.
