The Tootie Pie Co has incorporated the use of ThermaFreeze refrigerant to ship its pies.

“Tootie’s adoption of ThermaFreeze products promises to allow 24-hour shipments to be increased to 36-48 hours, providing significant savings in shipping costs and improved customer satisfaction,” said Joe Murray, ThermaFreeze Products Corp president. “Tootie will be able to extend shipping options, including a much bigger footprint for its two-day ground delivery and second-day air service.”

ThermaFreeze's products are designed to replace wet ice and gel packs for in-transit temperature control.

Tootie recently received its largest single order to date from one of its primary food distributors, Ben E Keith, whose Amarillo TX division ordered more than 1,800 pies. This is the fifth Ben E Keith sales division to stock Tootie Pie. The sale contributed to a record total in excess of 9,000 pies sold for the three months ending in June 2007.
