PAR Logistics Management Systems (PAR LMS) announced that Tony’s Fine Foods will install its two-way reefer monitoring and control system throughout its refrigerated fleet of 156 trailers serving six states.

Joining more than 100 customers, Tony’s Fine Foods chose PAR LMS because of its outstanding customer service, industry expertise, and superior refrigerated technology.

Tony’s Fine Foods is the largest privately owned distributor of deli, bakery, foodservice, specialty, and perishable products in Northern California.

“The PAR system assures we maintain the proper temperature of our product, which is vital to meeting our commitment to quality customer service,” said Ron Selders, vice-president of operations for Tony’s Fine Foods. “Before PAR, once the driver left our facility we had no way to ensure the proper product temperature was maintained throughout transit. Now with the PAR technology, we have visibility and control of the product temperature from the minute it leaves our facility until it is delivered to the customer.”

The PAR two-way reefer system generates information needed to monitor and control refrigerated trailer temperatures, react and respond to alarms, and optimize logistics and management of cold chain assets and resources. Customized reporting provides users with alerts and alarms addressing:

•Vvariances to refrigerated trailer temperatures

•Operability

•Low fuel

•Abnormal/excessive fuel consumption

•Excessive dwell time

If cold chain requirements call for temperature monitoring at the product level, PAR provides an independent hard-wired product temperature probe to monitor and report every 15 minutes.

PAR LMS is a wholly owned subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE: PAR). Access www.parlms.com for more information.
