Rear View Safety, provider of backup camera systems and technology as well as a dedicated road safety advocate, recently released the MR688 Driver Fatigue Monitoring System to the market.
This product is intended to alert a driver to situations where driver fatigue and other dangers are likely to occur, and is suitable for use in fleets of vehicles.
The RVS-MR688 Driver Fatigue Monitoring System is designed to not only accurately predict and identify situations where drowsiness and fatigue may be setting in for a driver, but also to alert those drivers so they can pull over to the side of the road and take other necessary steps to ensure their safety and that of other drivers.
When the RVS-MR688 Driver Fatigue Monitoring System is installed, a single camera is placed on the dashboard of the vehicle with the lens facing the driver’s face at all times. From the moment the ignition in the car is activated, the camera is always on and always monitoring the driver’s face for signs of fatigue. Because of this, it can recognize how a person’s face changes when fatigue begins to set in. It will play an audible alert, helping to keep the driver attentive and focused on the road ahead at all times.
In a variety of industries, driver fatigue is a constant danger. These drivers often work long hours in order to get products and materials to plants, warehouses, and other locations and are striving to beat strict deadlines.
The most pressing danger comes from the fact that the driver may not be immediately aware of just how likely they are to fall asleep at the wheel. Thanks to Rear View Safety and its RVS-MR688 Driver Fatigue Monitoring System, however, they need not question themselves about fatigue again.
