According to Dynamic Systems Inc, the greatest change to its SIMBA produce traceability platform in 2018 has been in the Logistics Module, which uses the mobile scanner to manage inventory and ship product.

The current version of SIMBA now allows the user to:

•Split pallets using the mobile scanner

•View and delete scanned information (prior to uploading)

•Use the mobile scanner to count current inventory

•New options coming by year-end:  live data transfer (no need to upload) and other advanced features

Using barcode labels and a mobile scanner to count inventory is both accurate and efficient. SIMBA Logistics 2018 (SIMBA’s mobile application) now allows the user to take a fast, accurate inventory count as a standard feature.

With the mobile device, the user scans all cartons or pallets in warehouses, coolers and freezers. Once the scanning is complete, upload data to SIMBA and print a discrepancy report, which lists the items that are either missing or “found” but not in inventory.

A typical customer will do a full inventory count quarterly depending on his or her shipping volume.
