The producers of the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo are set to host a webinar on electric transport refrigeration unit (eTRU) deployment.
The webinar, “How to deploy eTRUs: Lessons Learned from an Early Adopter,” is presented in partnership with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Southern California Edison (SCE) and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDGE).
The one-hour session is slated for 1 p.m. ET March 23. Visit act-news.com/webinar/lessons-learned-from-etru-fleets to register.
Albertsons’ David Pierson, senior manager for facilities engineering, is the featured speaker. With food and beverage fleets increasingly turning to electric TRUs to reduce the “significant” amount of emissions produced by the sector, Pierson will share nationwide grocer Albertsons experiences with eTRU adoption.
Attendees will gain insight into:
- How Albertsons deployed eTRUs, installed infrastructure and retrofitted existing trailers
- The pending changes to California Air Resources Board’s (CARB’s) eTRU regulation
- How local utilities can help reduce the cost of going electric
Presenters include Dean Kunesh, electric vehicle fleet specialist for PG&E; Lianna Rios, clean transportation customer solutions manager for SDGE; and Andrew Papson, eMobility advisor for transportation electrification.
