Hiab launches new-generation ZEPRO heavy-duty slider lifts

Low-maintenance lifts designed to maximize uptime, lift life; and are connectivity-enabled for Hiab’s HiConnect service

Swedish manufacturer Hiab, which is part of Cargotec, recently launched tail lift brand ZEPRO’s next-generation, heavy-duty slider lifts for heavy goods vehicles and trailers.

The robust, low-maintenance lifts are designed to maximize uptime and lift life, the company said. The new slider lifts also are connectivity-enabled for Hiab’s HiConnect service.

“The new generation ZEPRO slider lifts are made for frequent everyday use, which is typical for our customers in the food and beverage and logistics industries,” said Peter Robertson, product management director for Hiab. “To maximize uptime and lift life we have added connectivity, simplified service, and reduced maintenance need.

“This will help our customers to get the most out of their equipment throughout an extended lifecycle.”

To further maximize uptime and increase service life, Hiab is offering the lift equipped with ZEPRO’s Clear Oil Filter to keep the oil free from water and dirt, and the filter needs only to be changed every three years rather than annually, saving expense and downtime, Hiab said. The new generation of slider lifts share parts with other ZEPRO heavy-duty models, making it easier to order replacement parts and service. The production carbon footprint of slider lifts has been reduced, with less welding and by improving the paint process, which makes galvanizing obsolete.

The slider lift family contains both the ZS-type for trucks and ZT-type for trailers, with a lifting capacity between 1,500 and 2,500 kilos (3,307 and 5,512 pounds).

For fleet customers, the connected service HiConnect offers several benefits. It offers real-time data and notifications to understand equipment usage and improve driver safety. It also shows equipment service history, upcoming services based on service plans and real-time service counters based on actual usage. New and existing customers can register interest at hiab.com/en/digital-solutions/hiconnect.

ZEPRO offers a variety of accessories so customers can tailor tail lifts to individual needs. Spare parts also are available 24/7 from the Hiab webshop
