Phillips Industries’ OEM division recently was recognized with two prestigious OEM supplier awards.

On Nov. 17, Jose Luis Arredondo from Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) supplier management presented the Phillips Industries OEM facility in Arteaga, Mexico, with its Masters of Quality Award for 2020.

This is the ninth time Arteaga has received this award from DTNA.

The Masters of Quality award honors top component and service suppliers to DTNA’s Freightliner and Western Star brand trucks for their dedication to continuous improvement of the quality of their products, support of DTNA, and overall performance. For 2020, DTNA recognized 43 suppliers with the annual award.

Additionally, Phillips’ OEM division was one of 17 suppliers recognized by Hyundai Translead with the company’s inaugural Excellence Award for its commitment to being a partner to Hyundai’s success. The 2021 awards were presented Nov. 9 by Walter Kim, vice president of procurement, and Bongjae Lee, CEO, at Hyundai’s annual Supplier Summit held at The Lodge Torrey Pines in San Diego, Calif.

“Everyone working for Phillips Industries is responsible for these latest awards from our suppliers,” said Filiberto Coello, president of the Phillips OEM division. “The entire Phillips organization puts customer satisfaction first, and we understand that quality is at the forefront of that. We’ll continue to set goals that will maintain our position as a leading supplier to our customers. Congratulations to all for achieving this success.”
