A new refrigerated trailer rental company called Ice Cold Storage recently launched in San Diego, Calif.

Under the direction of owner Richie Robison, a long-standing business owner in the area, Ice Cold Storage will offer mobile cold storage trailers that provide on-the-go solutions for industries that need temporary outdoor storage with a temperature range from 0 to 50 degrees F.

“We’re excited to bring our service to the San Diego area,” Robison said.

“The community has a need for portable cold storage, and we will provide quality products and services. We offer competitive, flat-rate pricing, flexible rental periods, and easy online ordering to take the stress out of cold storage rentals.”

Kyle Taylor, director of sales for Ice Cold Storage, also is Robison’s partner in another locally owned business, MI-BOX San Diego.

“My partners and I have decided to expand on the success of MI-BOX San Diego, and are excited to have another product line available to customers who are looking for flexible cold storage solutions,” Taylor said. “Our business experience in the service industry makes us the perfect fit for a new endeavor like Ice Cold Storage.”

The company’s trailers feature 7 feet by 12 feet of storage space and utilize KingTech TL20 refrigeration units.

“These compact, fiberglass mobile trailers have 4-inch-thick walls and are all-electric, requiring only 110 volts and 15 amps,” Robison said. “Plus, the trailers are constructed so that there are no seams, so air and moisture will not deteriorate the insulation.”

The company says its refrigerated trailers are suitable for a variety of applications, including:

    • Catering and hospitality
    • Disaster relief/emergency services
    • Weddings
    • Sporting events and concessions
    • Corporate sponsorships
    • Exhibitions and tradeshows
    • Supermarkets and food processors
    • Mobile and fast food
    • Florists and growers
