Netradyne and Hyundai Translead launch OEM integration to improve fleet safety visibility and reduce blind spots
Key takeaways
- Integration of Netradyne and Hyundai Translead unifies trailer and tractor video to reduce blind spots.
- Centralized 360-degree footage speeds incident review, improves coaching, and shortens claims cycles by eliminating manual video retrieval.
- Fleets like Labatt Food Service are using the system to reduce backing incidents and strengthen driver performance.
Netradyne recently integrated with Hyundai Translead’s HT LinkVue trailer visibility system, bringing wireless trailer video into the Driver•i platform to deliver a unified 360-degree view of tractor, trailer, cab, and road activity. The company, which provides AI-powered fleet safety and performance solutions, is combining trailer video with its existing safety alerts and coaching workflows to give fleets a single environment for monitoring and review.
The integration is designed to address trailer-related incidents such as sideswipes, cargo damage, and security events, which are often costly and difficult to investigate when video sources are disconnected. By consolidating trailer and tractor footage in one platform, fleets can reduce the need to manually retrieve video, shorten claims cycles, and streamline incident review and driver coaching.
The wireless system transmits high-definition trailer video directly to the cab and into the cloud, reducing installation complexity and vehicle downtime while supporting driver adoption. Safety teams gain access to complete drive-time footage across both tractor and trailer, enabling more consistent coaching and faster operational follow-up.
Labatt Food Service has deployed the integration in its San Antonio, Texas, fleet and plans to expand use to additional locations, focusing on reducing backing incidents and improving driver performance.
“The integration was seamless—our drivers didn’t need any training—and we no longer have to manually pull video off the trailer transmitter,” John Cole, senior analyst and manager of outbound freight at Labatt Food Service, stated. “Having trailer video unified in Netradyne means we can tie 360-degree trailer visibility directly to our AI-powered safety alerts and coaching workflows, especially around helping our drivers improve their backing skills, which is a major focus for us.”
