LOUISVILLE, KY. Bringing together the latest technological advances, fuel management tools and substantial discounts at truck stops, TransConnect Services (TCS) is offering a fuel card designed to help smaller carriers manage their fuel expenses and control costs.
But more than the TransConnect EFS fuel card, the company touts a complete fuel management system: real-time account updates and on-the-go control with an account management website and mobile app.
“We’re essentially going after the small- to medium-sized trucking companies and giving them the same type of fuel program features and benefits that a large fleet would normally be offered,” Chris Courts, director of sales and marketing, told Fleet Owner at the Mid-America Trucking Show here. “We’re putting the capabilities right in the palm of their hand with a smartphone app and 21st century technology.”
A value-added reseller of the Comdata and EFS fuel card systems, TransConnect also partners with truck stop groups including Pilot Flying J, TA and Petro, Sapp Bros, Speedway Wilco-Hess, Roady’s and others nationwide.
Courts called the transaction fee structure “very competitive,” and said there are no start-up fees or application fees or monthly volume minimums. He also noted that the system has been built to grow as the small fleet grows, and can be customized to manage other, truck-stop specific discount programs.
“We’re trying to make the program very flexible from a discounting standpoint and a truck stop acceptance standpoint,” he said.
TransConnect’s team includes senior leadership from EFS who have a combined over 100 years of experience in the fuel card business, Courts added. The company is a subsidiary of Apex Capital Corp.
