Call for speakers on fleet safety

April 16, 2020
The FleetOwner team is in search of fleet safety experts interested in speaking at this year's Safety Leadership Conference.

The FleetOwner team is in search of fleet safety experts interested in speaking at this year's Safety Leadership Conference in Scottsdale, Nov.10-12.

The annual Safety Leadership Conference, an education and networking opportunity for leaders in occupational safety and health, compliance and risk management, is launching a new track this year on Fleet Safety and is soliciting proposals from fleet safety experts. The 2020 Safety Leadership Conference will be held Nov. 10-12 in Scottsdale, Arizona at the DoubleTree Resort Paradise Valley. The conference is presented by FleetOwner's sister brand, EHS Today, in partnership with Endeavor’s Commercial Vehicle Group.

The most important element of the Safety Leadership Conference is the educational component contributed by the experts speaking in five tracks: safety and risk management, compliance, construction and safety technology, and new this year, fleet safety.

The Fleet Safety track focuses on programs and best practices that keep drivers, technicians, other employees and the general public safe. From complying with drivers’ Hours of Service rules to collision prevention efforts, this track focuses on how fleets can reduce risk, stay in compliance with regulations, and improve operating efficiency. Each session is 60 minutes in length, which includes a 45-minute presentation, and 15-minute Q&A.

If you are an fleet safety professional and would like to share your professional experiences and program successes at this event, we encourage you to respond to this Call for Speakers.

All presentations must be non-proprietary and cannot mention specific goods or services.

If you are a provider of safety equipment or services, your proposal must include a co-presenter who is a client/customer and is willing to take the lead role in the presentation. This includes safety consultants. You must provide contact information for that co-presenter.

In your proposal, please include the following:

  • Your Name
  • Your Job Title
  • Your Company
  • Your Contact Info (address, email, phone number)
  • Title of Your Presentation – Presentation Description (include a summary paragraph and key lessons learned)

The deadline for applications for speakers is May 15. You may submit your application by email to Dave Blanchard, Content Director for Safety Leadership Conference, at [email protected].
