Crash management solution offered

April 27, 2012

Vigillo has released a web-based crash management system (CMS) as part of its Daylight Suite of products. The Daylight Suite is designed to provide carriers, brokers, shipper, insurers and drivers the tools they need to comply with and monitor operations under CSA.

The new CMS is the seventh product in the Daylight Suite. It provides fleet safety data in an easy-to-read scorecard format, Vigillo said.

“The DOT reported almost 400,000 truck-involved crashes over the past three years,” said Steven Bryan, founder & CEO of Vigillo. “Insurance, litigation and safety demand a new approach to managing this challenge and we believe our crash management system is the solution.”

CMS includes a one-of-a-kind web-based accident register, Vigillo said, that takes advantage of cloud-based applications for tracking DOT reportable and non-reportable crashes and tow-aways in a single place. Also included is driver and vehicle status tracking, automatic submission of errors to DataQs and robust reports and data exports designed for internal and external reporting, including FMCSA.

The program highlights mismatched data such as incorrect DOT or VIN number, coming from FMCSA as well as missing and erroneous data on crashes, drivers and vehicles. That information is immediately available for correction in all Vigillo scorecard reports and for optional submission to FMCSA’s DataQ’s system.

According to Vigillo, the new program provides enhanced monitoring and tracking of crashes throughout all departments, timely response to all accident related issues, status tracking of all crashes, and reporting and analytics designed for both internal and FMCSA reporting requirements.
