New vertical-mounting backup camera

July 27, 2012

Steelmate USA has released a new backup camera that can mount vertically and includes a flipped image so it can be mounted at a 90-deg. angle to the ground.

The IPCR-Truck backup camera joins the company’s iPark line of cameras and accessories. The camera is based off the company’s previous dual-purpose model, the IPCFR890S. It features a trunk-lip and/or handle mount option.

According to the company, the camera will work in many installation applications, including Ford F-150, Chevrolet/GMC, Dodge Ram, Toyota Tundra and Tacoma pickups as well as Nissan Titan and Frontier models.
