    July 11, 2013

A truck driver fleeing his burning rig after it crashed was struck and killed while crossing the Will Rogers Turnpike after a crash in a construction zone in the westbound lanes of the turnpike near Adair, OK, at about 4:30 a.m. on June 28.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the semi carrying a shipment of eggs hit a concrete barrier and started to burn.  The truck driver and a passenger got out of the burning rig, and as the driver ran across the eastbound lanes of the Turnpike he was struck by a Subaru, according to a NewsOn6.com report.

The truck driver was identified as 59-year-old Brar Sukhchain Singh of Delano, CA. He died at the scene from massive injuries. Troopers say Singh was thrown about 35 feet upon being hit by the car.
